Handwoven cloth carries slight variation in width, weave and colour. That is the hand of the weaver, not a flaw.

  • Dry clean only. Never machine wash.
  • Store folded in soft muslin or cotton, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Refold along different lines every few months to keep the silk supple.
  • Iron on low heat, always with a cotton cloth between the iron and the silk.
  • Handle the handwork gently; avoid pulling at threads or zari.

Every piece is quality-checked by hand before it ships. We accept returns or exchanges only if the item delivered is incorrect or carries a genuine manufacturing defect — write to us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos or a video, and we will make it right as set out in our Returns policy.

Annapurna — goddess of nourishment, of the inexhaustible giving, of the bowl that is never empty. There is a particular generosity in cream and maroon: it makes every other colour beside it look considered, every person wearing it look complete. There is a kind of beauty that requires no explanation because it has existed long enough to become its own argument. Cream and wine in a mango Katan silk Banarasi is exactly that — a pairing so well understood by the weavers of Banaras that it feels less like a design decision and more like received wisdom. The weight of pure Katan silk is not a burden; it is presence. Silk Mark certified and built for a lifetime of occasions, this is the saree you will reach for again, twenty years from now, and still feel completely certain about. The real handwork across its surface is the goddess's own signature: meticulous, loving, irreplaceable. Annapurna does not dazzle. She nourishes. And those who have been nourished by her will tell you there is nothing in the world more sustaining than being seen, simply and fully, as enough.
