Handwoven cloth carries slight variation in width, weave and colour. That is the hand of the weaver, not a flaw.

Dry clean only. Never machine wash.
Store folded in soft muslin or cotton, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Refold along different lines every few months to keep the silk supple.
Iron on low heat, always with a cotton cloth between the iron and the silk.
Keep perfume and deodorant off the zari and sequins — spray before you drape.
