Hand-painted work carries slight variation in line and colour. That is the hand of the artist, not a flaw.

Dry clean only. Never machine wash.
Store folded in soft muslin or cotton, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Keep the hand-painted Kalamkari out of prolonged sunlight — natural dyes soften with light.
Iron on low heat, on the reverse, with a cotton cloth between the iron and the silk.
Keep perfume and deodorant off the painted panels — spray before you drape.
